Fortunately, there are many available resources that help you find military friendly colleges. But what exactly does it mean to be military friendly? Are colleges that “claim” to be military friendly, really that helpful?

That’s where we come in. has taken the research one step further, and scoured online and offline databases to find online colleges that not only claim to be military friendly, but really are. You need an online college that is really approved by the VA for using the GI Bill. Dallas Baptist University

The Art Institute of Colorado

The Art Institute has grown a great deal in the past two decades. Many graduates have worked on huge blockbuster movies such as Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel. Your education will focus on the foundations of your chosen field. Even those that are entering with plenty of understanding of perspective, color theory, design, or computer animation, will learn from the ground up to ensure the foundation is in place. For those that have less of an eye for style or art, AIC has some of the best in the industry when it comes to script writing and other forms of storytelling. Movie, fashion, design and culinary experts in their field all teach at the school and can quickly help you network to break into the field upon graduation.

Albertus Magnus College

AMC is committed to providing veterans and current military with their “small, technologically enhanced classes; caring, talented faculty; individual attention to the academic needs and concerns of all students; convenient location in vibrant New Haven – with a focus on academic experience par excellence.” In addition, AMC is part of the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Program which allows the learning intuitions to enter into an agreement with the VA to fund tuition expenses that exceed the highest public in-state undergraduate tuition rate. The institution can contribute up to 50% of those expenses and the VA will match the same amount.

Amridge University

AU takes their ability to assist current and veteran Military personnel seriously. Scholarships for you and your spouse, university credit for military training, accommodating military deployment policies, an alliance with key military organizations and a dedicated support team staffed by Armed Forces Veterans are all part of what is offered. Amridge University also has established alliances with AU-ABC, ARNGESC, GoArmyEd, SOC AND DANTES.

Albany State University

Founded in 1903 as the Albany Bible and Manual Training Intuition, the school has provided religious and industrial education for over a century. As the school has grown it has expanded to offer a wide range of educational programs to students from all over the world. With a focus on a complete and ethics based education and a full range of benefits for Military, both veterans and current, you can rest assured that Albany State University is ready to help you prepare for the future that you deserve. Heald College

With locations throughout the U.S. the Honolulu campus gives you an education surrounded by natural beauty and a relaxing atmosphere. Founded in 1917 as the Honolulu Business College, it joined the Heald College family in 1993. A focus on healthcare, business, legal and technological fields of study set this college apart from others in the state. These guidelines ensure that schools are meeting the requirements put forth by the government for military veterans and active duty members as they prepare to enroll in a learning institution. Expect the following requirements to be met: a personalized form covering the total cost of an education program, educational plans for all Military and Veteran education beneficiaries, accommodations for Service Members and Reservists absent during service requirements, a Point of Contact for academic and financial advising, accreditation of all new programs prior to enrolling new students and align institution refund policies to meet with the requirements under Title IV. In addition, ending fraudulent and aggressive recruiting technics and misrepresentation is key to ensure that the school meets the requirements.
